Why we collect your personal data
We only collect data about you based on the consent that you give. We want to deliver you the best experience on our website and to make sure you receive the newsletters and communications that are most relevant to you, whether that is through sending you emails, post or texts or talking to you in person.

When you directly interact with us – this could be if you send us a demo; if you purchase products, tickets or merchandise; if you apply for a job or when you provide your data over the phone, by email, via the website, via post or in person; if you ask about our bands or releases or when you sign up to our newsletter mailing list.
If you wish to receive newsletters from us you will be required to ‘opt-in’ to receive them and you can unsubscribe at any time by clicking the ‘unsubscribe’ link in each email newsletter or by sending an email to unsubscribe [@] snappermusic.co.uk letting us know what email address you want to unsubscribe and which newsletter you want to unsubscribe it from.
When you interact with us through any of our partners, for example, Burning Shed who operate our official online store, and have provided your consent for your contact details to be shared with us.
When you interact with us through other third parties – this could be if you enter a competition through a third party website and give your consent for your personal information to be shared with us.
When you visit our website – we gather information which might include which pages you visit most frequently and which artists or information is of most interest to you. We may collect your IP address and details of which version of web browser you use. We may also track which pages you visit when you click on links in newsletters and emails from us.
We use IP addresses to ensure our users are directed to the correct version of our website dependant on the territory you are visiting from. We also use web log information provided through the IP address to understand any issues users may experiences while using our website to ensure a seamless service for our users. We use Google Analytics software to collect information about how you use our website. We do this to help make improvements to the site, for example improving site search. Google Analytics stores information about: the pages you visit; how long you spend on each page; how you got to the site; what you click on while you are visiting the site. We do not collect or store your personal information (for example your name or address) so this information cannot be used to identify who you are.
When you open our newsletters – we may track whether or not you open the newsletter and which links you click on.
From publicly available information – we may collect information about you from publicly available sources, such as social media platforms and search engines such as Google.
What data we collect
We only collect data about you based on the consent that you give. All the information we collect about you is used with your personal interests in mind, such as delivering products, keeping in contact with you about future product releases, dealing with enquires and sending you our newsletter.

How we use your personal data and how it’s shared
We will never sell your personal data; we only share personal information with service providers, business partners and other third parties with your personal interests in mind (such as payment processing, order fulfilment, customer support and data analytics).

To send you our newsletters and keep you informed about our new releases and special offers and news about our artists and labels and related events such as shows and label nights.
To resolve customer problems and to answer customer and/or product enquiries.
Your personal details and any message may be passed to a business partner or service provider, if necessary to deal with your query; for example, we might ask Burning Shed to deal with any query concerning a product you have purchased or wish to purchase.
To advertise our products through digital adverts.

To keep a record of your purchases from us.
Targeted social media advertising
If we send your details to Facebook for this purpose they will be hashed (encrypted) before they are sent, and Facebook only briefly uses the data for matching purposes then deletes it: see here.
If you wish to opt out of having your details provided to Facebook or other social media platforms for the purpose of targeted advertising, please contact us at privacy [@] snappermusic.co.uk.
To record your consent for direct marketing and any subject that falls under the GDPR guidelines.
Any other purpose necessary for us to comply with our legal obligations, for example, if we are required to share your data by a court order or to prevent fraud or other crime, or to investigate any suspected unlawful activity.
This website includes links to third-party websites, plug-ins and applications. Clicking on those links or enabling those connections may allow third parties to collect or share data about you. We do not control these third-party websites and are not responsible for their privacy statements. When you leave one of our websites, we encourage you to read the privacy notice of every website you visit.
Your rights in relation to how organisations process your personal data have been significantly enhanced under the new General Data Protection Regulation 2018. Once you consent to provide us with your personal data, you as an individual have the right to withdraw consent for direct marketing at any time. You will be provided with a clear ‘opt-in’ and ‘opt-out’ choice when subscribing to any direct marketing; an unsubscribe link is provided in every newsletter. If there is any legal or regulatory reason why access is denied or amendment refused we will tell you. We will endeavour to respond as soon as possible and in any event within one calendar month of receiving your request.
How long we keep your data
We will only retain your personal data for as long as it is needed for the purposes set out in this document or the law requires us to or for the purposes of satisfying any accounting, audit or reporting requirements. In general, this means that we will only hold your personal data for a minimum of 1 year and a maximum of 7 years after your last interaction with us.
Where your data is stored.
We take reasonable steps to ensure the security of all information we collect and that it is protected from misuse and loss and from unauthorised access.
