CRADLE OF FILTH - NEW TRACK ONLINE & IPHONE APP
A preview of a new track from Darkly, Darkly, Venus Aversa, the forthcoming album by Cradle Of Filth, is now streaming on the album’s mini-site at www.peaceville.com/cradleoffilth. The track, titled The Cult Of Venus Aversa, is also playing on the band’s new iPhone app which launched this week.
The free app contains audio samples, videos, pics and allows you to keep up with all the latest news from the band. The app also has a top users function which awards users points every time they use the app (i.e. write on the fan wall, post photo, share items to Facebook and Twitter, listen to tracks) and then ranks these users. The band are offering a special prize of a unique signed art print of the album’s artwork plus assigned copy of the album to whoever is the top user at midday (UK time) on the day of release (1st November 2010) Full terms and conditions are on the mini-site.
In addition to the new track the mini-site also features a video blog, info about the album, a gallery featuring new band pics and elements from the album artwork, a link to download a MP3 of the track Lilith Immaculate, downloads and more. The site is being updated on a weekly basis with new video blogs, fan competitions, promo videos, new downloads and more. We shall also be adding previews of a different track from the album every Wednesday.

CRADLE OF FILTH - New video blog added to minisite
A new video of Cradle Of Filth discussing their forthcoming album Darkly, Darkly, Venus Aversa is now streaming on the album’s mini-site at www.peaceville.com/cradleoffilth. The album is released through Peaceville Records on the bands own AbraCadaver imprint on November 1st 2010.
In the new video Dani and the rest of the band discuss the recording process, the meaning behind the title, the album artwork and more. In addition to this the mini-site features also info about the album, a gallery featuring new band pics and elements from the album artwork, a link to download a MP3 of the track Lilith Immaculate, downloads and more. The site is being updated on a weekly basis with new video blogs, fan competitions, promo videos, an Iphone app, new downloads and more. From September 22nd we shall also be adding previews of a different track from the album every Wednesday.

MY DYING BRIDE - EVINTA
2010 marks the 20th anniversary of the UK doom titans My Dying Bride, and to commemorate two decades of doom and gloom, the band embarked upon a project to re-work familiar melodies and themes from My Dying Bride’s extensive catalogue into long, flowing symphonic compositions, including new vocals and passages from Aaron Stainthorpe. These arrangements have been brought to life in co-operation with keyboard maestro Johnny Maudling (of Bal Sagoth fame) and will be released as ‘Evinta’, as both a 2 disc and special 3 disc set, each disc its own sprawling classical work spanning a large period of My Dying Bride’s album material. The 3 disc set will also be accompanied by a specially limited 72 page hardback book featuring rare images and photographs from the band’s personal archive from over the years.

An idea that has sat smouldering and never really had a reason to burn alive until now. 9 albums worth of darkness recreated anew to mark 20 years of MDB. Music arranged to the soundscapes of sorrows past. Finally the 20th anniversary allows us to release this music in a form it has been desperately, woefully waiting for. My Dying Bride has been the leading light of doom metal since their debut album ‘As the Flower Withers’ was released on Peaceville Records back in 1992. Influenced by acts such as Celtic Frost and Candlemass, the band’s heavy atmospherics have carved a huge worldwide following over the years and they remain at the pinnacle of the genre.
The set is scheduled for an October 25th release on Peaceville Records.

GALLHAMMER SET TO RECORD NEW ALBUM IN OCTOBER
Tokyo's Gallhammer are currently working on new material for the follow-up to 2007's 'Ill Innocence', & will enter the studio in October to record what Vivian Slaughter (bass/vocals) describes as an album of "strange & psychedelic experimental sounds of doom". It has also been announced that guitarist & vocalist Mika has left Gallhammer to concentrate on her other band, whilst Vivian & Risa (drums) continue as a duo. You can now follow Gallhammer at their new Twitter page which will be constantly updated with band news & progress.
